When it comes to signing new players, Brendan Rodgers has had a very mixed experience as the coach of Liverpool.

The Northern Irish coach has made some good signings with certain players who have managed to make an impact in Anfield but there are others who have struggled to make their presence felt.

Philippe Coutinho and Daniel Sturridge have arguably been the 2 best signings that Brendan Rodgers has made as the manager of Liverpool as those players have displayed world class skills that have helped out the Premier League club on a few occasions.

Most of the acquisitions of Brendan Rodgers have not been able to prove their worth as well as Sturridge and Coutinho.
Luis Alberto, IagoAspas, DejanLovren, Rickie Lambert, Javier Manquillo, Mario Balotelli and the list keeps on going on…

Brendan Rodgers experience in signing players has been plagued with bad signings which eclipse the few good ones which he has managed to sign and bring to Anfield. Despite the high amount of players who have not been able to find their footing in Liverpool, Brendan Rodgers is certain that one of his latest arrivals, Christian Benteke will turn out to be a bargain even though he was signed for a hefty price tag of €32 million

Liverpool’s Brendan Rodgers said: “I’ve read and seen things about his game, but in the short period of time he’s been in, I’ve been even more impressed. I’ve seen him up close now for three years, stood at the side of the field and watching this guy not just his power and strength, but also his footballing ability. For me, I think he’ll prove to be a bargain for the club, I really do.”

Christian Benteke was signed from Aston Villa and the Belgian attacker is expected to turn into the main offensive figure of Liverpool for the next few years and this signing will make or break the future of Brendan Rodgers as the manager is under heavy pressure from the owners of the club to start collecting major titles for Liverpool.
