Juan Carlos Osorio recently took over as coach of the Mexican national team, which was forced to undergo a managerial change despite good results.

The scandal that recently hit the Mexican FA has affected everyone including the former manager.Osorio has a big task on his hands to not just rebuild the confidence of the team, but also the fans who have supported the team during the troubled times. Picking up the players will be relatively easy given that they are on unbeaten run that stretches more than a year. The last defeat suffered the Mexico was against Ecuador in the Copa America.

The team have done exceedingly well in the recent friendlies and World Cup qualifying matches.Osorio intends to continue the good work done by his predecessor.Osorio has vast experience of managing various clubs across North and South America. However, this will be his first major international job and it remains to be seen if he will cope with the vastly different schedules in this role. Since starting out as a coach in 2009,Osorio has been in charge of teams like New York Red Bulls, São Paulo, and AtléticoNacional. The latter saw him spend the most amount of time at a major club.

"Being coach of the national team of Mexico involves a commitment to a country of nearly 150 million. And from there we know that there are thousands of opinions; you must evaluate them, discriminate, learn from them and ignore others. Missing more familiar with Mexican soccer. I have my opinion, but in two months can not say I totally know this football. I'm sure that by mid-year and will learn more about Mexican soccer players. It's a very competitive league where you play on big stages that would in many countries,” said Osorio.
