PL: KDB HITS FIRST HATTRICK

Manchester City playmaker Kevin De Bruyne (KDB) was in sensational form as he scored his first Premier League hat-trick to lead his team to a big win in thequest to retain their league title. KDB was undoubtedly the star of the show as he propelled Premier League champions Manchester City to an emphatic 5-1 win over home team Wolverhampton Wanderers in a rescheduled Premier League game.


Premier League champions Manchester City have Liverpool to contend with in their quest to retain the league title they won last season to make it three Premier League titles in four seasons. Manchester City came into the away game against Wolves with the knowledge that a win will take them three points clear of Liverpool at the top of the table.

At the end of the last set of Premier League games last weekend, Manchester City were able to open a three-point gap over Liverpool with three league games left to play for the two teams. Liverpool were in action on Tuesday night in the first of their three games as they came from a goal down to beat hosts Aston Villa 2-1 to draw level on points with Manchester City at the Premier League summit. Liverpool survived an early scare to take three points on offer courtesy the goals from Joel Matip and Sadio Mane either side of the half-time break. Brazil international Douglas Luiz was the recipient of the first goal of the rescheduled league game.
Manchester City needed to respond to the win recorded by Liverpool and they did it in style by beating Wolves 5-1 thanks to the four goals from Kevin De Bruyne. Raheem Sterling was the recipient of the other goal for the reigning Premier League champions who will retain their title with four points from the last two matches.
