MANCHESTER CITY SIGN YOUNG BRAZILIAN STAR
Premier League club Manchester City have confirmed that they have struck a deal with Brazilian club Fluminense for the transfer of sensational teenage star Kayky. Reports surfaced last week suggesting that the Etihad club were tracking the young talent and were closely monitoring his progress in a bid to snap him up and bring him to England, but other reports suggested that it was all rumors.
However, the reports are no longer rumors because the club themselves have given a brief announcement on their official Twitter account that they have struck a deal with Fluminense to sign the youngster, however, the deal includes a clause that will allow the 17-year-old to remain a Fluminense player till the end of the season.
As it is, Kayky is already a Manchester City player, but having already signed his contract he will still play in the Brazilian Serie A till the rest of the season and will officially join City Ahead of next season. Manchester City announced on their official Twitter page that they are happy to give confirmation that they have activated the future transfer of the young striker with his Brazilian club. They then made it clear that he will be remaining in Brazil until the league season in the country comes to an end.
City are now getting more familiarized with Brazilian clubs and are working to lure more talents from the South American country as they did with the transfer of Gabriel Jesus in recent times. They will reportedly continue to plant scouts in the country as they look to snap up more young and talented stars who will all be the club's future first-team players.
Pep Guardiola revealed that he was pleased that the club have finalized the transfer, declaring that he knows Kayky will add more flair and steel in the team's attack when he finally links up with the first team.
