WEST BROM SACK BILIC DESPITE DRAW

West Brom have sacked Slaven Bilic as their head coach despite the impressive result that he masterminded at Manchester City in their Premier League clash at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday night. The news of his dismissal was confirmed by the club on Wednesday afternoon and widespread reports say that ex-Blackburn Rovers, Newcastle United and Bolton Wanderers manager Sam Allardyce is in line to replace him as the new head coach at the Hawthorns.

Slaven Bilic led West Brom to the Premier League this season after securing automatic promotion from the Championship. The Baggies finished last season in second place in the English Championship and that ensured that the club returned to the top flight of English football two years after suffering relegation. Slaven Bilic and West Brom have struggled for form in the Premier League this season with a record of one win in the first13 games in the league this season.
