Manuel Pellegrini won the Premier League title in his first season in charge of the club. He joined the illustrious list of managers like Carlo Ancelotti who came from foreign league to win the domestic league in their first season. Mancini made a lot of noises about him being responsible for the current successes because he signed a majority of the players like Vincent Kompany and Yaya Touré.

Manchester City Gives Big Contract Extensions

The Manchester City management doesn’t want any of the star players of the team to be lured away this summer and thus, they have given big contract extension offers to almost all of them.
The news of Vincent Kompany’s 6-year extension broke out earlier today and now, it’s been reported that the Sky Blues have held talks with the Argentina international Sergio Aguero as well and have let him know that they want to extend his contract too.
According to the new deal, in case he signs it, Aguero would be getting two hundred ten thousand Pounds per week for the next 5 seasons.

Negredo Linked with Madrid Signing

Ivory Coast will be taking on Japan in the first match of the tournament on June 14. The Manchester city star, Yaya Touré, is one of the important players. Pellegrini was appointed as a replacement for Roberto Mancini in the summer. He is now set to win the league title in his debut campaign with the club. Pellegrini has not always been the most entertaining manager in terms of mind games, but Carragher says that he has made it count where it matters most – on the pitch.

Former Manchester City defender Danny Mills says that Manuel Pellegrini should take the blame for the club’s 2-1 defeat against Wigan in the FA Cup.

The Chilean selected a team that had a couple of first-team players missing and it was thought that he had done so with the Barcelona midweek match in mind. City are chasing the Catalan club with a 2-0 deficit from the first leg.

City were initially looking to win the quadruple this campaign, but a 2-0 defeat in the first leg against Barcelona in the Champions League has reduced the hopes. They are now looking to achieve the famous domestic treble.
